“The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.” -Albert Einstein

  2. Gosh! The Sun has been burning for 4 1/2 billion years.

I guess that means it will keep burning forever!

      Wow! Very convincing analogy(NOT).. LOL
Seriously – he’s not coming back because he’s still dead.

      • Atheism,

You have no way of knowing what you are saying.

Being an atheist, you just take everything you say as truth, by faith alone.

On the other hand we know the lifespan of the Sun, give or take a billion years or so, based on the laws of nature, not deaf, dumb and blind atheist faith.

I’m surprised at you, SoM for finally realizing what faith is: deaf, dumb, and blind. I suggest you eject it out of your life entirely and rejoin the ranks of the living, thinking, and honest person you can evolve to be once you give up your brain dead faith.

      • tildeb,

Like the atheist author of this post who has no idea of what he is talking about because as an atheist he cannot have any idea what he is talking about, you have no idea about my life and so, cannot rationally offer any advice about it.

Atheists simply hallucinate alternative realities to suit their whims and fancies and then assign them to whomever or whatever serves the need of the moment.

You do that because you have faith in your own hallucinations which is exactly what you are criticizing in Christians.

In the biz, that’s called hypocrisy.

      • tildeb says:

Have you ever noticed that your opinions here and elsewhere are always based (or so it seems to me based on everything I’ve ever encountered authored by you) on what you believe… which is then imposed on everyone and everything else? I can’t recall you ever questioning one of your beliefs or altering your faith-based opinion… ever. I cannot recall you ever taking a point someone has raised different from your own belief and actually considering it on its own merits rather than on your contrary beliefs. You consistently utilize this method to castigate all others for their supposed ‘errors’ while holding your own opinions exempt from any arbitration other than your belief.

This is the methodology of faith in action and, dare I point out, it never has, doesn’t now, nor ever shall (in all likelihood) produce one iota of knowledge about anything. That’s not my opinion, SoM, but a statement of fact backed up by reality. Yet you base the truth value of your claims about reality on this flawed methodology and then make knowledge claims that are untethered to the reality they supposedly describe while, at the same time, judging all others who dare to hold opinions different than your own faith-based ones about reality to be deluded and foolish and hypocritical… which you then support (in your own defense) only by stating your beliefs that it must be so because these are your beliefs!

What you do is incredibly stupid, arrogant, and very rude. Why continue? To feel victimized when someone dares to proffer an opinion? To what ends? To look foolish, sound asinine, demonstrate how your faith-based beliefs make you into a very unpleasant and irrational person? Because you do look and sound like this when you continue to make the same kind of comments you do. This make a victim only of your own stupidity.

      • tildeb,

        No I haven’t.

That’s because what you, the atheist calls beliefs, is usually the obvious or else thinking that comes from some past genius like Plato or Aristotle.

What you think about this?
