  1. To be an atheist means you have to believe everything just happened all by itself.

    What scientific discovery says that?

You pejoratively said “everything just happened all by itself” but when chemical elements are subjected to enough energy they chemically combine to more complex molecules. This is basic molecular and organic chemistry. Our Sun provides more than enough energy for this to occur and for life to exist on the Earth. Here is a short video that describes it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mF9U5x6Nxnw No doubt you will ask, “but has anyone created life from basic chemical elements?” No, obviously that has not yet been achieved by science. But as you can see, the building blocks of life ARE SYNTHESIZED by natural processes essentially “all by themselves” with the energy, raw materials, and time already existing.

Let me know that you have learned, understand, and agree with the above, then we can move on to other aspects of origins. Otherwise, we won’t.

      • Delta,

Chemistry is not everything just happening all by itself. Chemistry, being science, is an expression of the laws of nature.

Before there were the laws of nature, there was nothing, therefore no chemistry.

The atheist believes that from nothing came everything.

That means atheists believe everything just happened all by itself.

Before I will expand this thread in to the extra things you have mentioned, I need to get an agreement you have learned and understood what I wrote about basic molecular chemistry. I already said I know you would try to expand in to other areas, but so this doesn’t get out of hand, we need to agree on this one simple thing first. What say you now?

What you think about this?
