Idaho state senator doesn’t want non-christian prayers in their Senate but wants freedom of religion

Hypochristianity at its finest.  Three Republican Idaho State Senators walk out on Hindu Prayer by Rajan Zed (Universal Society of Hinduism): Sens. Steve Vick of Dalton Garden, Sheryl Nuxoll of Cottonwood and Lori Den Hartog of Meridian. They ONLY want CHRISTIAN prayers in their Senate chamber.

If they just kept religion out of government as the Constitution prescribes, this wouldn’t be an issue.

Now here is one post I agree with you on! If we don’t want to make this country a Christian theocracy, then these politicians HAVE to accept ALL religions in their chambers.

“I hope this does not set a precedence (sic) for other religions to enter the Senate chamber.”

Yeah, no guff, eh? It’s not like we as agents of the government are actually privileging Christianity or anything… nosireeeBob… we keep the business of religion and state totally separate… especially when we pray out loud!

Good grief. What is the matter with people?

  3. What bigoted clowns these governmental representatives happen to be. “They pray to a false God” – as if their faith-based belief happens to be empirical in nature?

Yes, let’s hear it for double-standard practices.

What is this with the “I hope this does not set a precedence for other religions to enter the Senate chamber”???

What you think about this?
