Video shows US soldiers praising Jesus in preparation for Holy War

Christian nation? US soldiers prepare for Holy War: Christians are falling all over themselves to praise a disturbing viral video showing US soldiers in uniform singing, dancing and worshiping their Christian god at Camp Pendleton in California.

As the US prepares to lead a coalition into war against the Islamic State, the US soldiers are captured on the video chanting “There’s no God like Jehovah!”  “There’s no God like Jehovah!” over and over again while exuberantly singing a Christian “worship song” called “Days Of Elijah.”

The following is a sample of the lyrics:

These are the days of Elijah

Declaring the word of the Lord, yeah

And these are the days of Your servant, Moses

Righteousness being restored

These are the days of great trials

Of famine and darkness and sword

Still we are the voice in the desert crying

Prepare ye the way of the Lord!

About the viral video, former US congressman and Christian extremist Allen West writes:

Oh boy, this here video is surely going to send the head chucklehead of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, Mikey Weinstein, into a apoplectic state of frothing hysteria. And you can imagine that the leadership of the Wisconsin-based Freedom from Religion Foundation is running about gnashing their teeth and tearing at their clothes.

Charisma News writes:

America’s men and women in military garb worship God. They lift their hands and their voices to God while singing “Days of Elijah.” There is hope for America! This will bring tears to the eyes of true patriots.

All reports indicate that none of the soldiers were forced to engage in the embarrassing and juvenile display, yet it is disturbing to think of US soldiers being so motivated by such sectarian concerns.

And of course, such displays only serve to reinforce the notion both at home and abroad that the new war against the Islamic State is in reality a Holy War, a war of Christians against Muslims.
