I agree with all the inferences and facts and yet remain a creationist. How so? The inference behind inference 3 is that over time, the differences will shift to create brand-new genetic information. This has never been observed. We’ve only ever observed a decrease. So although we get different species – it is always the result of a degradation of genetic information.

Here is the concept put in simple terms: https://twitter.com/GraceWithSalt/status/480110078927077376

If all we observe through mutation and natural selection is a degradation of genetic information, what is the mechanism by which we get from a rock to a human? Evolution occurs because there is change – but that does not mean what you think it means.

    • Jabberwock says:

This is simply illogical. Mutations are random, therefore any mutation can be reversed. If a mutation from state A to state B means loss of information, then mutation from state B to state A means increase of information.

      • Tim says:

How do you get to state B initially? From State A. Therefore going back to State A is not new information. It already existed.

    • Are you saying that we have never seen mutations? Really? Because that’s brand-new genetic information. In fact, a “decrease” (you’re misusing the term) is still brand-new genetic information. But not only that, you’re just purely wrong. We have seen E. coli digest nylon- that requires an “increase” (god, please look up what you’re talking about) in genetic information as nylon hasn’t existed for more than 200 years.
