Imagine by John Lennon

Imagine there is no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion, too

Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You, you may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world

You, you may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you will join us
And the world will live as one

One Response to Imagine by John Lennon

  1. Plato wanted to banish poets from his Republic because they were so disruptive to ordered thinking.

Attach a meme that pedals stupid to a catchy tune and the result is very powerful, distruptive propaganda.

“Imagine” by John Lennon is one of the finest collections of memes that pedal pure stupid.

So it is no surprise that such a catchy piece of propaganda has been picked up by atheists.
